Best Reasons to go to Brindisi and The reasons you Need going There Now

Once people plan a vacation to Italy, it is not going that they'll go out of their way to spend time in a small city as Brindisi. Sadly, it is not really a top-rated tourist destination and's much more often than not, only a landing point for people travelling to other areas of Puglia. It's unfortunate that people don't realize that there are many reasons to visit Brindisi.

Reason 1 to visit Brindisi? As a result of the central location of its, this is a great place to base yourself. You are able to quickly achieve several beautiful nearby towns as Monopoli, Alberobello and Ostuni either by train or car within 1 2 hours. You can also take ferries to Albania and Greece!

Reason two to visit Brindisi? To view the Roman column and stairs, and they represent the conclusion of Appian Way, a stretch of highway that connected the community to ancient Rome.

Reason 3 to visit Brindisi? The port. It is a little like beauty and the beast. There's the sea, palm trees, pretty buildings, restaurants and also the perspective of the opposite side of town. After that there's the curse of industry, cargo ships and factories.

Reason 4 to visit Brindisi? If the port area alone is not adequate, there's usually the Monument to Italians Sailors devoted to males who died at sea during WW I. Take the short ferry ride across the bath and possibly rise the stairs or take the elevator to the top for an excellent view of Brindisi.

Reason five to check out Brindisi? Piazza Duomo for beautiful architecture this way. You should definitely check it out throughout the morning and at night.

Have far more reasons to visit Brindisi? Reason 6 would be the Brindisi Cathedral (also placed in Piazza Duomo), an 11th century cathedral built in a Romanesque style.

The original church was wiped out throughout an earthquake inside 1743 and so what you see today is the 17th century reconstruction.

Reason 7 to pay a visit to Brindisi? The Church of San Giovanni al Sepolcro for its fading 14th century frescoes.

Reason 8 to go to Brindisi? To aimlessly wander the avenues of Old Town, getting lost and finding surprises along the way. Parked vespas as well as laundry hanging outside to dry off all make for a dreamy scene.

As if you needed more reasons to visit Brindisi, reason 9? Doors. As strange as it sounds, Italy simply does doors better. They're all so unique and pretty.

Reason 10 to pay a visit to Brindisi? Cats. You will see a lot of felines wandering the neighborhood, searching plump and content. To be a cat enthusiast (I have a cute Persian named Izzy), I was thrilled to see that the cats were well taken care of in Brindisi.

Reason 11 to see Brindisi? To look at the massive war memorial. At first glimpse, you see this lovely square and statue.

Reason 12 to go to  Brindisi ? The wine. Not merely is the wine good, it is cheap. I scored a litre of wine which is red at Il Carpaccio, a little family run restaurant specializing in Puglian food, for 3 euros!

Reason 13 to pay a visit to Brindisi? To experience the actual Italy. I feel very passionately about making my travel as authentic as you can and wish to visit areas where there are very few visitors and get me off which proverbial beaten track.
